The Aglianico grapes are harvested when fully ripe, then transported to the cellar, selected by hand and de-stemmed. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature and maceration with the skins lasts about 2 weeks. It then refines in French oak barriques for 12 months and then for 24 months in concrete tanks, finally at least another 6 months in the bottle.
The color is intense ruby red, the scent gives off notes of wild berries and black cherries with a complex bouquet of spices and licorice; the flavor has a good body, complete on the palate with mature and elegant tannins.
